Hi all,

I am using Kubuntu 7 32 bit and fluent 6.3 32 bit in a dual core pc with 3 G of RAM memory.

If i wil use Kubuntu 64 bit and fluent 64 bit in a dual core pc with 4 g Ram, is there going to be any substantial difference in the simulation speed.

Generally which is the optimum pc configuration in order to have maximum simulation speed.

Thanks in Advance,

Anastasios

using 64bit will allow you to increase your memory higher then 4GBRAM. Having higher RAM will speed up your simulation.

Maximum simulation speed is very subjective. I personally would recommend you to use a 64bit machine with atleast 8GB of RAM. this should give very good simulation performance.
