How to use GAMBIT's node adjust tool

Hi All,

I am having a problem meshing a 3d volume. There are tight corners and I am getting skewed tetrahedra (>0.98) in the volume mesh. Perhaps someone experienced could share an advice on using GAMBIT's node adjust tool.

How do I invoke the tool? Can I move mesh nodes manually? Many thanks.

You can't move nodes manually, unfortunately.

Try using size functions to control the sizing and the growth rates near your tight corners. This hsould help to improve the quality of your mesh.

Hope that helps.

Hi zongtwi,

thanks for your reply. Yep, that's what I was thinking too. I tried looking around GAMBIT menus but all I could find was node spacing control for edge meshing.

I am using sizing functions already. I guess I'll need to look into my imported geometry, because that is where most probably the problem is.

Regards

Well, I didn't know that you used an imported geometry...good luck solving the problem then!

(P.S. I hate importing geometry into GAMBIT!!)
