Fluent 2D Reference Values

I am doing analysis on some 2D airfoils using Fluent. For a 2D case, what should I use for the "Area" and "Depth" values? I realize that reference values are essentially arbitrary, so I guess I just want to know the interpretation of these two values in a 2D case.

You could probably just set them to unit dimensions just to avoid any user induced error.
