mesh without surfaces

Default mesh without surfaces

I'm having a problem when generating a mesh on Gambit, because when I import them in Fluent, I only get in the surfaces -wall and fluid- How can I get a mesh where I can have surfaces like inlets, outlets, etc?? how should I generate the geometry and mesh in order to achieve this?
