Roughness Height

Hello All,

Im doing a simple 2D flow study and want to enter a roughness height for the channel of flow. The only data I have is a co-efficient value (0.0027) and a reynolds number (+60,000). The meanstream velocity to be modelled is 2.147m/s.

Using the above data how do I calculate and enter a value for the roughness height in Fluent?!!

Thank You in Advance

Re: Roughness Height

hello

I have the sam problem. And also i dont know what the flags for particle injections means, for : escaped=0, aborted=0, trapped=0, evaporated=0, incomplete=0 Cos resoults dont seem good to me.I want that the particle goes around the inner wall or it must trapp to the wall, but it trapp to the wrong wall. I need some help if anyone know sth about it, and i can give you more details.

Thanks
