Gridgen bug?

I am using Gridgen 15 under linux (red hat) and it seems I have a bug: the Gridgen screen is partly frozen. I can move the image, but the command menu does not appear and the hot keys are not working. It happens while I was setting the tolerance for a 3d ruled surface under the database menu. on the message window part, it's written "Flight mode off". If I just restart Gridgen, I will have to recreate data that I did not saved, and I would like to avoid it. If someone know how to solve this problem, that will be very usefull.

Re: Gridgen bug?

Hi jjc,

While I don't know the specifics exactly, I am aware of an incompatibility of the latest NVIDIA drivers on Linux and Gridgen. You should contact our tech support team at support@pointwise.com and tell them what's happening plus your Linux version (including the kernel) and graphics driver version.

As for "flight mode", that's an alternate image manipulation scheme that gets enabled via a hot key (don't recall which one off the top of my head). Toggling flight mode should not cause the behavior you're seeing, however.

I just scanned our bug database and couldn't find anything open pertaining to ruled surface creation or tolerance setting.

Not much help, but you can get more at support@pointwise.com or 800-4PTWISE.

Re: Gridgen bug?

thanks for the answer and your precious informations. I already found a way to recover the gridgen command menu without restarting Gridgen.
