Hey,

I'm a fairly new user to Fluent, and therefore i'm going through the tutorials (found on the Ansys homepage).

In the chapter 2.4.2 I'm supposed to add new parameters to the already existing tutorial file.

I add three more parameters "input_hcpos", "input_ftpos", "input_wsfpos".
They receive the IDs P4, P5 and P6 automatically.

My problem arises when I'm told to change the expressions of the parameters P1, P2 and P3.

For ex. : P1 expression should be = "max(25, min(P4, 90)) "
So the value of P1 should be determined by P4. However I get the error "unexpected token 'P4' ".

Does anybody have a clue?

I think it can be connected to that in the "Properties of Outline"-window that displays the properties of the selected variable, misses one of its value, namely the row called "NameInScope". I think my problem has a root there.

Thank you!

Hi Daniello,

I just now find a solution. You have just replace the ',' with the ';' and it will work. The correct input is: min(max(25;P4);90).

good luck with Aspen!
we can keep in contact for further problems.

ciao,
Frenk
