Dynamic mesh and time discretization

Hello all,

I don't understand why Fluent has not enabled the second order time discretization scheme when using the dynamic mesh feature. Has anybody stumbled over the same problem? Any ideas as to why is it unabled?

Thank you.

Re: Dynamic mesh and time discretization

that is a good question..

I would think that if the deformation or time step is sufficiently small, an accurate 2nd order time scheme would be possible.

Of course more memory needs to be used to contain grid information at time step t-2 for the second order implicit scheme.

please post here if you find out more
