I've done quite a detailed search in this forum and GAMBIT guide but could not find any good literatures on the structured and unstructured mesh.

From my understanding, MAP or SUBMAP elements in GAMBIT are structured mesh types, whereas PAVE, TRI PRIMITIVE, MAP SPLIT, SUBMAP SPLIT, WEDGE SPLIT.

Am I right?

My question is: What defines a structure / unstructured mesh? Is it how orderly the arrangement of the grids is?

What are the advantages/disadvantages of structured and unstructured grids?
