Hi every one..I need help to simulate Engine air filter using Porous media boundary condition can anybody help me with any value to test Air Engine Filter? I canīt find any value about Face Permeablity(m2), and Pressure jump coefficient (C2)(1/m)

Hi sathees kannan for answer me i have been reading fluent manual but I canīt find where can I compute Face Permeability (m2) and the pressure-jump C2 (1/m) could you please tell me where are they or can you tell me any other formula to compute this ? to simulate Air Engine Filter Thank you Kindly Regards Alfonso

i have uploaded some pages from fluent manual in my web page. there are so many ways by which you can get value of alpha & C2. http://home.iitk.ac.in/~sathees/ hope it helps

Hello Sathees Kannan First of all Iwould like to thank you for help me lately and again Sorry for bother you again I have been studing to simualate Engine Air filter and to compute C2 and Alpha as you advice me a couple days ago and now I canīt compute E=Void Fraction and Dp=mean particle diameter and also I donīt know what mean is

I need this values to put inside de equation and solve the problem would you please help me with this problem?

there are lot many ways to calculate those values. refer the manual pages i have quoted. since i have never used porous jump, I have no idea.
