Dear Friends,

Can any body tell me what is meant by source term in CFD. I could not able to find an proper definition of it. So pls some body can brief me about source term. Thanks for ur time

Hi Shanthi,

A source term can be (e.g.) a energy source due to a chemical reaction, a mass source due to condensation.

These sources are scalar functions and are added to the conservation laws.

In the help files of the CFD program they will tell you how to use these sources.

Hi Liew,

Where I can get the equation for the turbulence modeling k and epsilon source terms. I could not get any information from the UDF user manual. Can you give some information regarding this.
