Hi everybody,
I'm working in 2D heat and flow simulation in rotary kiln and I'm beginner in Fluent6.3.
I have simulated the heat inside the kiln with adiabatic walls using non-premixed combustion model with PDF table, I have obtained the axial temperature profile for Methane (CH4) as a fuel and Air as oxidizer. I want to obtain the adiabatic flame temperature from the simulation.
My question is what is the adiabatic flame temperature from simulation? Is the product temperature or highest simulated temperature? Although the product temperature is 1800K and highest temperature is 2100K relatively low compared with the theoretical value of adiabatic flame temperature for CH4 (2200K) at stoichiometric value.
Could anyone give me advice about the models which must be use in simulation of rotary kiln? And how can I obtain the adiabatic flame temperature and flame length from the simulation?
