Hi All!

I have a question about hydrolic diameter calculation on fluent. I have a case that have periodic mrf zone. Actually I am studying about a fan analysis. I want to ask how should I calculate hydrolic diameter? Am I have to calculate according to 4x mrf zone area/wetted perimeter of mrf zone or 4x real area/real wetted perimeter (mrf zone x periodic pieces)?

Thank you

hydraulic diameter is generally used in calculating Reynolds number. Reynolds number indicates what model (closed system or control volume etc.) you are interested of. That is why you should specify actual hydraulic diameter as you define boundary condition like periodicity (FLUENT automatically identify the model you have made)
