How to evaluted optimum design (heat transfer problem)
I am currently working on the internal cooling of gas turbine blades. I have simulated different designs of cooling channels over a range of operating paramters (Re, density ratio and rotation number) with the same mass flow rates.
However now I'm stuck with the comparison between the designs in order to evaluate the most efficient one. As possible criteria I have evaluated the following:
- wall temperature < critical temperature
- wall temperature as uniform as possible
- mass flow rate as low as possible
- pressure drop as low as possible
I thought of maybe using Nusselts Number but am not really sure how this links in to the above criteria.
Does anyone have an idea of how I can compare my simmulations?
