kljosc is on a distinguished road
Hi,

I have a horizontal prismatic fluid zone - with only one layer of cells - where I want to loop over all cells and set the heat consumed (evaporation) depending on the massfrac of a species and the massflow out of the zone (species-massfrac * y-component of cell_velocity * face_area) for this cell.

The goal is to model the evaporation of a small pool or puddle. The bottom side of this "controlzone" is a wall of the same area with an udf which calculates the massfrac depending on the surface temperature. This part works well but does not take into account the cooling effect by evaporation. This should be done by the above mentioned udf.
Heat flow from the solid zone below (soil) also works well (tested with fixed negativ heat in the controlzone).

Can someone tell me where to place the udf and which macro to use?
Should it be an udf hooked to the source term "Energy" with a DEFINE_SOURCE?

Thanks
Klemens
