How to set rotating wall as boundary condition
Hi, I am quite new in CFD simulation. I am doing a simulation something like that, there is a rectangular surface. In the surface there is a restriction like a orifice plate(actually another rectangular plate) in the middle position attached to the upper edge. The upper wall is statinary and the lower wall is rotating.the lower wall is actually a shaft. How should I define this roatation as a boundary condition in the lower wall which is rotating. Its a 2d problem. I have defined the problem as a axisymmetric model

In my opinion, you can try to use the MRF method,in the fluent help, youcan find the example refered to the MRF!
Good luck! |

you should define a fluid zone which contains the edge you said, and then define this zone as a ratation field!

Consider entire fluid zone as rotating.

hi
I want to model a liquid film on a rotating disk,I use axisymmetric swirl,is it correct? I heard something about moving refrence frame!does it work for my modeling? tnx! |
