initialize flow field with steady state solution

hi, I want to calculate the heat flux into a flat plate of a turbulent airflow over this plate with a transient solution using realizable k-e-model. My problem is I don't get convergence for the continuity equation. So my idea now is to take the solution of the continuity and turbulence equations I obtained from a steady state simulation and use these as constant values for the transient solution of the energy equation because the flow field is independent of the temperature profile but the temperature profile is dependent on the flow field. so my question is how can I initialize the flow field with this former steady state solution? I use constant properties for air and a rectangular mesh. thanks in advance
