Export results into txt

Hi there,
I'm to export all the results of my study to a database (MySQL). To do that, I copy the fluent forces report to a txt file, then modify it to read it from the mysql server. But I wonder if it is posible to obtain the data in other way. I mean, I don't know if I can export the forces report to a txt file with another format, for example, all the data in a line separated by tabs.

Can you help me?

hi,

there are various formats available for you to export data in, if you go file, export (i think), you can choose the variable to export and save it as a specific file type, this can be done automatically as well,

an comma separated ascii file would be exported as:

x y z variable1 variable2 variable3 etc...

you can tell fluent to export a data file every X number of iterations or timesteps...this is all in the manual, search for data export...

Thanks a lot, but I can't save the forces report by exporting it as you said. Finally I decided to make an Matlab program to modify the results and to copy them into a SQL database.

Now I'm trying to connect matlab to the MySQL server.
