Different Boundry Condition Type at the same face
Hi, everybody.
I met a problem. Two kind of fluid A and B mix together. And the mixing fluid flow in a rectangle pipe. Three side of the pipe is setup as wall boundry condition. The other side of the pipe is a special boundry condition. Fluid A can pass through this side and fluid B can not. It means this side is pressure-out or massflow-out boundry condition for fluid A, and is wall boundry condition for fluid B. How can I setup it? |
I really need your help!

outflow
i am not very sure but i think that if you use an outflow bc and you are using say the mixture or the eulerian multiphase model than you can specify outflow rates for phase separatelly. Hence, you can set the rate for phase a equal to 1 and the corresponding rate of phase B equal to 0.

you'd better use the DEFINE_PROFILE udf, try to find this topic in udf help of the fluent(use the index). there you can define the BC for different phases differently(there you can access different phases by using different domain numbers,by looping over the faces in different domains you can impose what you want), but it needs some time to get the capablity of working with udf.

ageorg and mohsen zendehbad, thank you very much, I will try both method.
