vidya is on a distinguished road
Hi,

I am trying to model flow thorough porous medium which is vibrating. I have a screen that is filtering particles from slurry. The screen vibrates and moves along an elliptical path. The filtration takes place due to gravity and the screen motion.

I am unable to get the interfaces to move in the right manner in Fluent. I am using a udf to describe the motion of the screen. Right now, I see the interfaces moving only along one direction (i.e. it goes down and comes back up to its original position but does not move upward). The udf describes the motion as vertical only...so the screen should move up and down. But it moves only downwards.

I wonder if someone could help me figure out how to fix this problem? I couls send over the files if you need to look at them.

Thanks,

Vidya
