The software is basically taking cuts out of edges when agglomerating tet cells into polys. For example, two surfaces meeting at right angles will have a lump out of it some distance down due to a cell approximation not fully extending to the common boundary curve.
I have not yet figured out the exact circumstances (surface mesh size/maximum volume mesh size/growth factor/seed size etc?) that lead to it occuring. Has anyone here encountered similar issues, investigated them and understand why fluent is cutting lumps out of the domain? |
