Dear all,

I have a question please clarify.

I have a problem in matching pressure drops at inlet and outlet in a flow through bend pipe. I have certain pressure drop to match like 200 pascals. But i am getting only 20 pascals pressure drop. I gave velocity inlet and pressure outlet as my B.C's.

How can i get the pressre drop of 200 pascals for the given velocity.

Its very urgent.

Thanks in advance.

is your massflow rate in agreement yith your prediction?
have you check your unit (scale)
how did you compute the pressure drop?

praveen.jpk is on a distinguished road
mass flow rate & volume flow rate matched at inlet & outlet.
Units are taken care.
Pressure drop(20 mm of water cloumn) = pressure difference between inlet & outlet.

Pressure drop(225 mm of water cloumn) provided by the customer.

how did you proceed to compute the pressure drop within fluent?
You should do followings:
*report/surface (area weighted surface with total pressure), choose inlet and note the value
*the same with outlet
*computing the difference will give you the pressure drop
