Hi,
I created a mesh for a 3D dam break model. I plan on doing a VOF model with LES. I have two volumes; water and air. I am unsure of what to name the side where the vertical dam is ( the front of the water volume). Also the end of the flume is a free fall, what is the boundary condition for a free fall? I have decided to name the top of the water surface that meets the air volume as interface, should this be something different? Thank you for your time

-mAx- will become famous soon enough
Regarding VOF, just set 2 separated fluid domains in Gambit (icon next to BC)
You don't need to set any fluid interface

Ensure you patch the water domain before calculation...
