Hey all.

I am very new to CFD and was thinking about using it (fluent) on a project of mine about the optimisation of a particualr airfoil. my question is what output can Fluent calculate apart for a standard velocity profile? For example can it calculate the net force on an airfoil in a particular flow? or can it calculate the pressure at variuos points along the airfoil?

Cheers

Robin.

It can do all those things and more. Have you looked at their advertisements/sales pitch?

I agree with audrich FLUENT can do more!!! you can take graph of Force in every point of your airfoil surface!!! You can search in the net. there are much paper about airfoil!!! or you can search in fluent by keyword studentFluent.
Hope it hepls

To all users: Please, do not post waste-time questions... working CFD is not like using calculators.... read more and if you can not find your answer - write here....
Sentences like ".. I am new... how to make this...." decrease the rating of the forum.... believe me!

Read more, try yourself to find information first!
