Premixed combustion model - FLUENT

Hello

I want to model perfectly premixed combustion in a tunnel, using propane/air mixture at 0.85 equivalence ratio.

If i use premixed combustion model in fluent ,

how do i specify the mixture and the equivalence ratio ??

I am having the exact same problem. When I select the premixed combustion model in FLUENT, I cant select the mixture I want to combust in the domain. As soon as you select the premixed model, FLUENT disables the mixture materials option in the material panel, hence you can only select fluids. (It doesnt let you create the mixture from the available fluids either!)

However when you use other combustion models such as species transport, you can select mixture materials easily. I don't know why this problem of specifying mixture materials is particular to the premixed combustion model. If anyone can help I would be extremely grateful.

hi.I have the same question as you did, have you solved your problems? I am simulating the combustion in engine using fluent, in the case, there are no inlet and outlet, I dont know how to give the mixture feul in the zone!!

Hi Everyone,
I wonder if any of you manage to solve the problem. I am having an exact problem. I try to run lean premixed combustion simulation but the premixed combustion model in FLUENT does not allow me to specify the mixture and equivalence ratio. Could anyone kindly advise me how to solve this problem, please? Thank you very much.
Regards,
Jenny

premixed combustion using zimont model

HI,
I am a newer in premixed combustion. When I use the FLUENT to modeling, I am confusing about the premixed combustion using Zimout model in FLUENT. I can't find where can I specify the mixture(methane-air) equivalence ratio or about the mixture materials.
Anyone knows how to solve it ? Please help me. Thanks in advance! This question is confusing me several days!
Best regards!

How can i select gas mixture for premixed combustion

Material in premixed model

Hi everyone. You have to define new material base on air and your fuel. For example, for methane fuel, you need to heat of combustion, laminar flame speed, critical rate of strain and unburnt fuel mass fraction or adiabatic temprater for non adiabatic and adiabatic options respectively.

You can use this tutorial.
