Interesting discussion. I started using Fluent in the mid-1980s and am probably more dissatisfied with it now then at any other time. Much of this stems from Ansys' apparent philospy to sell a bunch of new products to a bunch of new users.
As for version 12, we have looked at it quite a bit but the 32-bit Windows version crashes several times a day on both of our systems so we don't use it. They say it will be fixed sometime later. |

Does anyone knows what happens with Fluent product FIDAP?

As far as i know FIDAP is still maintained and distributed by ANSYS but the current version will be the very last one --> no development any more

When exploring the website of ANSYS it is not possible to find FIDAP in any of the chapters defined - CFD or multiphisics....
