wall function and flow separation
Hi @ all,
I'm wondering if it is possible to calculate flow separation with wall functions? I have a problem where separation occurs when resolving the boundary layer.... I used wall functions afterwards and the separation is still there. As far as I can see, the separation is induced by the pressure gradient. Does anybody know if wall functions are also able to resolve flow separation due to viscosity effects? |
see section 4.6.2 in turbulence modeling for cfd by wilcox.you will find your answer
