Interesting discussion. I started using Fluent in the mid-1980s and am probably more dissatisfied with it now then at any other time. Much of this stems from Ansys' apparent philospy to sell a bunch of new products to a bunch of new users.
As for version 12, we have looked at it quite a bit but the 32-bit Windows version crashes several times a day on both of our systems so we don't use it. They say it will be fixed sometime later.

Does anyone knows what happens with Fluent product FIDAP?

As far as i know FIDAP is still maintained and distributed by ANSYS but the current version will be the very last one --> no development any more

When exploring the website of ANSYS it is not possible to find FIDAP in any of the chapters defined - CFD or multiphisics....
