Hello:
I am trying to simulate evaporation of coolant through porous media. However, when I probe the volumetric average of fluid temperature, I get temperatures that are thirty degrees C higher than the saturation tempearture (set as constant). Furthermore, my volume fraction probe seems to indicate that phase change is occuring; however, the volume fraction increases in a gradient rather than creating bubbles. I cannot find any valuable resources on this specific application of cfd online. I am suspecting that this may be happeneing because fluent calculates an effective heat transfer coefficienct for the porous media, so the tempearture may actually be an average temeprature (not saturation tempearture). Perhaps the reason I am not seeing "bubbles" is also due to the superficial velocity formulations.

My mesh size is 50 micrometers, eulerian multiphase from liquid to vapor (liquid is phase 1). This should be small enough to capture the effects I need. Perhaps my time step is too large (0.0005 seconds). Although, I am having no issues with divergence.

Does anybody have experince with multiphase evaporation in porous media with fluent? Please let me know how you got it to work or if there are any suggestions.
