Hi

I've a problem about transient table that I input in FLUENT.
I've created data type PROF << I think I do it right.

The question is How should I know that this transient table data is read in FLUENT correctly.

How can I check it?

Wait for your help

thanks

Hi, I am also trying to use a transient tables to apply my boundary condition. However when I type in the following commands into the ansys console
file

/file>read-transient-table
transient-table file name [] (insert name)

ANSYS displays the error shown below. I made file on wordpad using the correct format and saved with txt extension. I saved the file to my desktop. Can you help me with this?

Error: File "insert name" not found!
Error Object: #f

Make sure your file is in the same directory as your fluent simulation. When prompted with '(insert name)', type the name of your file after it, and then press enter. Does it work then?

Hi Svetlana I have done as you have asked and saved the file in the same directory that my fluent file is saved in. However, ansys still cannot find the file. Any toughts on how I can resolve this issue? also does the transient table have to be saved as text document (.txt) extension?

I would like to see a screenshot of the error message. Your command and your input should also be visible on the image. Please attach a screenshot with your next reply?.

When you launch fluent, in the GUI there is General Options> Working Directory
Here set the path to a desired directory and put that .txt file in that directory. Then fluent will be able to see this file and will be able to load.
