Skipping zone inlet (not referenced by grid)

hi friends,
when i am importing mesh from GAMBIT to fluent the messeage showing that "Skipping zone inlet (not referenced by grid)". Kindly tell me what should i do.

put some picture please.

i guess the zone u define in gambit is not meshed.

The reheating furnace used to heat the steel slab. In this computational model, Z –direction is the symmetry plane and slabs are hanging in air through out the furnace. The furnace having different wall temp because it has different fuel amount injection through the burners which is shown in fig. The slabs are moving 0.004-0.005 m/s. At given time, let say t=0 the total slab inside the furnace is 36 slab with different temp varying from entry to exit. The temp gradient exit inside the furnace is 300 deg C to 1250 deg C over 40 length of the furnace. When we mesh slab and furnace differently and export to fluent it is showing the error message skipping zones. Slab and gas movement inside the furnace is counter current flow.

Have u subtract out the slab from furnace when u mesh it?
Fluent will not recognize overlaping mesh i think.

Again, picture please.

Dear friends
I am meshing 3 rectangular volumes.Volume 1&3 is 40(X)*2(Y)*5(Z). Volume 2 is 40(X)*0.22(Y)*4.5(Z). In Z direction i am using Symmerty wall condtion for all volumes when defing B.C. in gambit.Volume 2 is in between Volume 1 &3.volume 1 and 3 are defind as fluid continum and volume 2 as solid continum in BC. The volume 2 top surface is Volume 1 Bottom surface simillarly Volume 2 bottom surface is Volume 3 top suraface. I used this surface as interface in BC at GAMBIT.Then i meshed with HEX map with interval size1.Mesh has generated in Gambit. But when u export to fluent check for grid it showing error message is Error:unassigned interface zone dected for interface 12 & 13 ,Error:Init_flow: unssigned interface_20, Error :object:()". Kindly help to solve this interface problem. kindly tell me how to mesh the this kind of volume with symmerty plane in Z-direction.what re the B.C should i give.
regards
vinoo

u haven't define ur interface.
Go Define>interface grid.

boundary entity does not contain vaild entity

Dear Herntan
what i did in gambit. First i define volume 2 top surafce as wall for and same surface defined as interface for vol-1 bottom surafce.simlary done for bottom side.when i export to fluent it is showing waring Boundary entity does not contain valid entity.

can u please tell me what should i do

regards
vinoo

u need to define ur interface in Fluent first.
