Secondary flows in a curved pipe

Hi all,

How can I calculate the magnitude of secondary velocity in a curved pipe?

I’ve tried this using Custom Field Functions like below

Secondary velocity = sqrt(tangential velocity^2+radial velocity^2)

And then, I checked the value through Area-Weighted average (surface integrals)

But the results were much bigger than I expected.

Can anybody tell me what is the problem?

Many thanks, Min
