Hi anybody!
I'm new in Fluent and I want to simulate a turbulent heat and mass transfer in wavy wall.
How to lunch mass transfer modelling in fluent?

Hi,
you need to proceed in this way:
1) build your geometry in either gambit or icem
2) mesh it
3) export the mesh
4) read the mesh in fluent
5) run the simulation
6) check your results

I would suggest to start with gambit tutorials, then fluent tutorials.

Dear tony00,
Thank you for your answer,
I already treated some example with Fluent.
for this case, I have already do everything (building the geometry, exporting the mesh ....) but the problem it is how to make for mass transfer.

Hi,
you need to specify your problem a bit if you want some help. It is not clear to me what you mean.

All the best

Dear tony00,
Firstly, I launched a simulation to validate the commercial code Fluent in 2D and 3D (steady and unsteady) and I compared my results with those of Maaß and Schumann and I had very good results.

Now, I want to see the effect of wave amplitude (various amplitudes) on heat and mass transfer.

hi Khaled

it me aounallah,

I think that you need to concentrate only on mass transfer (the thermal transfer is quite easy to you to do it )

you can refomulate your question asking how to simulate only the mass transfer in a simply 2D geometry (fluid, procedure, steps)

good luck , I will inform you if I found something in this field
