post processing discrete phase with paraview

Hello to everybody,

generally I use paraview to postprocess my fluent simulations, exporting data in ensight format.

The procedure works very well, but I don't know how to post-process discrete phase particle trajectories.

Do you have any idea how to export DPM trajectories in an external post-process program, and in particular in Paraview?

Best regards

Michele

Hi,mighelone. I have been faced with several problems. I wonder if you have the solutions.,and can you tell me how to do it?:)

I also am looking for this solution!! need to model unsteady DPM data from fluent in paraview!

Have you found file>export>particle history data?
Alternatively, there is an option to write step-by-step track data from the Graphics>Particle Tracks set up dialogue.

Data relating to specfic boundarys can be collected from Report>Discrete Phase>Sample

What I am struggling with is exporting any record of track history that includes the fate of the track. I'd really like to isolate escaped tracks from trapped tracks. I think I may have to do some work on the data outside of fluent and then import for postprocessing.
