Hi! I have a quick question about defining combusting particles in the DPM model. If wet combustion is turned on, when defining the material properties of combustion particles, should the fractions of volatiles/combustibles on dry basis or wet basis? And the devolatilization temperature, should it be the water boiling point temperature or the temperature for the onset of particle devolatilization reaction?

You would suppose (meaning I don't know for sure) that is should be based on wet conditions...

If wet combustion is turned on, you should use volatiles/combustibles on dry basis. please see eq. 16-134 Fluent Theory guide. Liquid fraction (in wet combustion tab) should be defined as volume fraction, volatiles/combustibles (in materials tab) - as mass fraction.
If you hesitate, check the mass balances.
