FLuent Parallel Error.
Hi everyone,
I am simulating a 3D dynamic stall phenomena of an airfoil. I use the dynamic mesh method to smooth and remesh the mesh at every time step and a udf to pitch the airfoil and i have a non conformal interface. I initially run the steady state solver in parallel with 4 processes for 2000 iterations w/o dynamic mesh and udf and it runs fine. But when I switch dynamic mesh and transient solver on, the simulation crashes after approximately 300 time steps with the following message : 999999 (..\src\mpsystem.c@1148): mpt_read: failed: errno = 10054 999999: mpt_read: error: read failed trying to read 4 bytes: No such file or directory The Parallel FLUENT process could not be started. Does anyone know what can cause this problem? For your information I am running Fluent v12 with an i7 860 quad core with 8gb of RAM and my mesh size is approximately 2.5 million. Regards, Darren |
Anyone out there knows whats the problem? Im desperate to get this problem fixed....

I have same problem too, anyone have any solution??

Sometimes, it may help to turn of Dynamic mesh load balancing in the parallel->partition and load balancing panel

I had this same problem, but got rid of it when I went back to Pointwise (from which I had exported the grid) and defined the volume conditions. This worked for me on two separate cases so it's definately worth a try.
