Hi all!
I am simulating a 3d rear wing: ![]() And I have a problem or question with the symmetry boundary condition. I put the ZX plane as a Symmetry in Fluent (it is the symmetry plane of the wing), but when I simulate it, the value of Force in the Y axis is not equal to zero. Why? What is the geometry that is simulated? Complete wing or only a half of it? Thanks! Regards! -Edu- |

Only the half of your model is computed. That's why you don't get zero at F-Y.

Which sense has the symmetry, if the model is calculated just half?
This means, you would also have to double the other forces. |
