Hello everyone. I'm trying to do some basic objects in both 2D and 3D grids, but I keep getting self-intersecting error messages in Gambit for 2D and when I subtract and grid volumes in 3D and run in fluent I get another error message as follows:

Quote:
Error reading "Z:\Program Files\Ansys\File Repository\z drive Ansys Fluent and Gambit Working Directory\Titan 3D tunnel with roughness and plate.msh".
and in Fluent's box I get:

Quote:
> Reading "Z:\Program Files\Ansys\File Repository\z drive Ansys Fluent and Gambit Working Directory\Titan 3D tunnel with roughness and plate.msh"...
193778 nodes.
192634 mixed wall faces, zone 2.

Done.
Any ideas?

any idea where section 12 would be? I have no idea what they're referencing, and there's no good Gambit gridding tutorial, unless someone can post one.

there maybe are two problems:
1. the grids for geometry doesnot complete absolutely.
2. your computer's hardware, especially RAM, isnot able to handle so many nodes.

you shuoud re-check and re-fine your mesh, reducing the quantity of grids is better.

-mAx- will become famous soon enough
Do you have any warning or error while exporting your mesh from gambit?

Copper, thank you--that seemed to work. I reduced the interval for meshing a slight bit and it read into Fluent just fine. Thanks again.
