Dear all,

can someone please help me by telling me how to display the temperature gradient in the whole field?
There is an option called dT/dx (dT/dy) under the display/contours menu, but it doesn´t work! :-(

Thanks in advance!

hi, I did not find dT/dx in contors menue, would u plz tell me what kind of models you set up. By the way would u mind to try udfs in FLuent to get this derivative? you might need the DINFINE_EXECUTE_AT_EXIT and RG macros.

Regards,
HJ Wang

Hi, the options dT/dx and dT/dy will be activated by setting the display menu to expert: /solve/set/expert

now, i figured out how to display the contours of dT/dx and dT/dy respectively, see former thread:

http://www.cfd-online.com/Forums/flu...lay-dt-dx.html

but my prob is to display the total gradient of T, that means: gradT

Any suggestions??

Regards
