dharanishb is on a distinguished road
Hi,
I am trying to simulate a simple 1 slot rectangular burner of length(x)=124mm and height(y)=115mm.In the centre of the length i have the burner slot(Boundary Condition=velocity inlet) of 3mm width through which i am sending methane+air 2 step at a velocity of 0.05m/s.Boundary Condition at y=115mm is "pressure outlet"
The problem i am facing is that after ignition (1200K) although initially i have a nice symmetric flame, eventually after a 100 or so iterations the flame lifts off from above the burner slot moves to the top and finally gets extinguished.
I was told that this happens if there are stagnation points near the inlet, but i dont have any place where velocity equals zero near the burner slot
HELP!!!!I really need some advice.
Thank You
