Very quickly, I was just curious. Is Fluent is appropriate for all Knudsen Number regimes?
The rarefaction of flow based on Knudsen number can be divided into 4 categories. Flow regime Knudsen number range Continuum Regime < 0.001 Slip flow 0.001 - 0.1 Transition flow 0.1 - 10 Free Molecular > 10 I know Continuum is covered in Fluent, but is there a source that specifies any limitations on the others? Maybe limitations near walls like it seems CFX has issues with? Any info would be appreciated! Oscar |
