Madness is on a distinguished road
Hi
I am trying to create a reactor with a torispherical base in gambit. A torispherical dome is as shown here:

http://mathworld.wolfram.com/TorisphericalDome.html

I have created a sphere and a torus as shown in the above link and have tried to subtract, split, intersect the volumes to get my desired geometry but nothing seems to delete the unnecessary portions of the geometry. I am using GAMBIT version 2.

A clearer picture of what I want to create is shown below:

Please help me figure out how exactly to edit the sphere and the torus to get the required geometry.

Thanks for your time and effort.

PS: Really sorry for posting in the wrong forum. Didn't notice the Geometry forum earlier. Now, unable to delete this post and re-post it there.

Cheers
Madness
