Hi
I have a domain in which I draw streamlines. The problem is how to increase those streamlines and how to cluster them in specific regions Thanks |

The best way is to define a rake where you want to release the streamlines from. On the rake, you can define how many points, and the streamlines will be released from each of these points.
Hope this helps, and good luck, Jason |

Thank you very much, it works and the results are more pretty than I've imagined. But the resolution is still not good.

Resolution as in there aren't enough streamlines? If that's the case then remake the rake and just increase the number of points on the rake. That will increase the number of pathlines released. If you hit some type of limit on the number of points you can have on one rake, you can always create multiple rakes (so if you want to release points along a rake that's 10" tall, maybe you make 4 rakes, each are 2.5" tall). Use a rake instead of a line. A line will create a point wherever that line intersects a face. This can create uneven distributions of pathlines as well. Rakes are a type of line where you can define the number of points along the line (and they'll be evenly spaced).
If you mean resolution as in the graphics that are being produced... you can increase the resolution of any hardcopy's you make (File->Hardcopy... use the jpeg option and increase the size of the image). I don't believe there's anything you can do about the resolution of the image on the screen though. Hope this helps, and good luck, Jason |

Hi Jason, Would you know how to plot the streamlines for a fluid flow inside a cylinder using FLUENT. Thanks a lot
