how to simulate the rotation of a solid part
 
Dear All,

I want to model a heat transfer problem with the rotation of a solid part. The shape of the rotating solid part is a surface of revolution.This rotating solid part contacts with another stationary solid part. Does anybody have an idea how to do that? Thanks a lot.

Perhaps you can give the object a 'wall' boundary type, and then specify as moving wall. Make sure to set the correct center/axis of rotation.

I think you should use MRF (Multiple-Reference Frame Model) or SMM(Sliding Mesh Mode). SMM is for more complicated model. See presentation below:
