Hi,

is there a possibility to tell Fluent from the beginning (before starting a simulation) how much GB RAM of memory it should use? Or let's say it in other words: do I have to "tell" Fluent explicitely that is should use dynamic memory allocation or does this happen automaticly?

regards,
spring

Hey,

it would be really nice if someone could answer me this question. I looked into fluents "getting started guide" and there this sentence is written: "Consequently , true dynamic memory allocation, efficient data structures, and flexible solver controls are all possilbe." Since I have a simple simulation running for 2 days that uses just 1.1GB RAM of available 64GB RAM memory, I asked myself if dynamic memory allocation happens automaticaly or if I have to do some presettings in fluent.

regards,
spring
