Hi everyone,

I'm quite new to here, so please apologize if my question had already been discussed.

I'm trying to make a model which consists of a 250um diameter tube, and a 233um hemisphere attached to the surface of the tube. The hemisphere expands and contracts between the range of 233um and 250um.

Please see the following figure, it shows an axial cross-section of the model:

I'm already familiar with the equations defining the hemisphere motion in 2D, and the corresponding UDF-s. However, the problem in 3D gets much more complicated.

The center of the hemisphere is on the surface of the tube, this picture shows the state of 250um diameter.

Is it possible to write somehow a correct UDF for this situation? Is UDF a possible solution at all? What should I do?

Any help would be appreciated!
