I simulated the flow characteristics and the particles trajectoris in a room by the dispersed particles models of FlUENT. But there is a question. It is how can I display the contour of concentration of particles ( particles number / unit volume). Who can help me, thanks very much in advance.

You have to couple the dpm model to the continuous phase and then display\contours\dicrete phase model\dpm-concentration. It will give you the results in kg/m3 (unless your cell volumes are smaller than 10^-10 m3). If you want it in the unit you refer to, you have to write a small UDF. Regards, Szabolcs

Hi ,
I am facing problem in Discrete phase modelling with suspended particles in a closed vessel of fluid. The suspended particles in the fluid is to be heated in a closed vessel at a fixed volume concentration. But how to make the particle suspended before the heating is done at a fixed concentration, without any inlet and outlet flow?

Or could u please explain how we can find out the total concentration of particle injected in the vessel volume in(kg of particles injected(total)/total volume of the vessel)?

Suggestion from ur side would be of great help..
Regards,
Rob
