Fan Boundary Condition OR Fixed Values or Source Terms
Dear all,
I’m working on a 3d-problem in which I would like to fixed x-velocity in certain air volume. I'm using Fluent Solver version 5. In Fluent one can fixed the air volume rate by means of mass (kg/m^3*s) using the Source Terms or via Fixed Values using the X Velocity (m/s). What is the purpose of these tools and their differences? Because when I do fixed the x-velocity (using segregated solver implicit) then I can't run the simulation because of divergence or floating point errors! I don't understand, since the solver is chosen properly according to the Fluent Manual. How can I use this tool in this problem? When I use mass via Source term then nothing is happening. Secondly, in order to fixe the volume rate I think Fan Boundary condition can be used. However not much information in using this tool I could found. Can somebody provide me how to use this tool in combination with a pressure inlet and pressure outlet boundary condition? Thank you in advance. Kind regards |
Good day!
If this problem is still important you can use source of momentum to solve it. |
