Hi i really need some help with the DPM in fluent.

I am trying to model heavy rain(1000mm/h) simulation with a NACA0012 c=1 airfoil at Re=3*10e6 but i cant find any help at the web. I read some other threads hear along with the fluent tutorial and this is what i have understand so far:

For coupled simulation i have solved first the continuous phase flow field :

Re=3*10^6 steady state with the standard fluent6 solver options
viscus model: K-E 2-eqn realizable/enhanced wall treatment and standard model constants
after it converged i went to the dpm monitor and choose
1)Interaction with continuous phase box( for 2-way coupled)
2)unsteady particle traction ( because i want spray breakup with TAB model)
i do not know what to do with Particle time step Size and Number of Time Steps

  • Tracking tab left standard options
  • Physical Models enabled spray brakup with TAB(y0=0)

I also have problems with the Injections..

appreciate any advise or hint please (where can i find tutorials for dpm?)

Hi Haris,

You can find dpm tutorials on web, if you type Fluent DPM. I believe, DPM tutorials are also available on cfd-online.com as well. I see you have a very interesting problem to solve.

Try searching for journal or conference in your area, so you can relate your problem with them.
