Hello all,

I would like to know if anybody has any idea on how can I change inside a UDF to another Coordinate system that I have created in GAMBIT. I need to stick some momentum data on a specific area in my geometry but cause its not aligned with the normal coordinate system im unable to do so!

Hope ill get some good news soon!

move your domain untill your local coordinate system match the global one.
In gambit check the coordinates of your local coordinate system, and translate your domain with right vector.
If your center is C(a,b,c), vector will be (-a,-b.-c)
Just check finally that coordinates of your local center are (0,0,0)

First of all thx al lot for the response! But I have some questions...So, theres no way to just define that my udf will work on the local coo system in fluent?? thats so strange... The problem is that I want just to import the data on this small area at the leading edge of an airfoil but using the local system, while I want to analyse the data on the global system...Thats why I would like to just tell Fluent to read the data for the small zone on the local system...pff its complicated I hope that u understood what im talking about!
